Stretch, Connect & Create Something New

Turn simple shapes into colourful creations with the Woods™ Wooden Geometric Pattern Board.

Little ones can stretch the elastic bands around the wooden pegs to recreate animals, shapes and patterns from the included cards, then use their imagination to design something completely their own.

✓ Encourages creativity and imaginative thinking
✓ Supports fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
✓ Introduces shapes, patterns and early geometry
✓ Includes 30 pattern cards for inspiration
✓ Encourages concentration and independent play

Follow the Pattern or Create Their Own

Children can begin by choosing one of the illustrated pattern cards and working out where each elastic band needs to go.

As their confidence grows, they can move beyond the examples and start creating their own pictures, shapes and colourful designs.

One board can become a house, an animal, a geometric pattern or something entirely invented by them.

Little Hands, Clever Connections

Stretching and positioning the elastic bands requires children to look carefully, plan their next move and use their fingers with control.

Through play, they naturally explore how lines and shapes connect while practising concentration, coordination and problem-solving.

As little learners grow, the board can also introduce more advanced ideas such as triangles, symmetry, patterns and simple geometric relationships.

Made to Grow With Their Imagination

The included cards offer plenty of inspiration to get started, while the blank cards give children the freedom to design challenges of their own.

Draw a new pattern, recreate it on the board and challenge someone else to do the same.

It is a simple concept with plenty of room for creativity, making it a lovely activity to return to as their skills and imagination grow.
